![]() Normally, the solution is to uninstall the sound effects programs and the Realtek HD Audio Manager will be restored to normal. For example, installing the Creative Soundblaster Cinema 2 or Nahimic software will do this. The "external output device" is the headphone When a third-party sound effects program is installed in your notebook, it often removes features and makes modifications to Realtek's HD Audio Manager. The second setting under the "Playback Device" section will "Make external and internal output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously." The "internal output device" is the built-in speakers. When you click on the "Device advanced settings" link in the upper right corner of the manager window, the smaller advanced settings window will open as shown on the right.
